Väinämöinen's departure on a copper boat

The old man named the boy king of Karelia. Väinämöinen got angry at that and threatened that he would leave and that he would still be needed to set a new shampoo, kantel and fire for the people. He sailed in a brass boat between earth and heaven and probably still is there. He left his kantele and his songs as a legacy to the people.

Ukko cross fringe hat,
I dipped the child's cabbage soup
to become the king of Karelia,
as the guardian of all power.
That made Väinämöinen angry,
even got angry and ashamed.
I went to step in myself
to the beach for the marine.
That flame may sing,
once sang his last:
sang to the brass boat,
copper butt.

Hence the old Väinämöinen
to count grumpy
on a boat with brass,
with copper on the moon
to the upper lands,
to the lower heavens.
It was missing its pursing,
his boat got tired.
Left a complaint behind,
I'm calling Finland sad,
joy to the people forever,
songs great for their children.
