Väinämöinen's boat sculpture

Pohjola's maiden had asked Väinämö to carve a boat. In that job, he hit his knee with an ax, and the wound didn't heal until the blood clot words were found. Now Väinämöinen made a boat by singing. The boat was almost ready, but the words of the song ran out. They were not found on the top of the swallows' heads, under the deer's tongue or in the squirrel's mouth.

Hence the old Väinämöinen
knower ageless,
made a boat on the road,
prepare a purta by singing
the bending of one oak tree,
the crumbling of wood chips.

Sung a tune: the bottom was missing,
sang another: joined the laian;
sang about the third one
while beating the horns,
ends at the conclusion of the arc,
when adding lime.

Arched venosen,
attached wide unions
tired to say three
with vines.

Steady old Väinämöinen,
knower ageless,
word crocheted, like your name:
"Oh my god, my days!
Couldn't get the boat on the water,
a new ship for the waves!"

He went to look for the missing words in Tuonela. There they asked what was Väinämöinen's cause of death. Finally, he confessed that he is alive and searching for the missing words to complete the boat. He is considered crazy when he strives for the land of the dead while alive. Tuonela's mistress said that they couldn't find words and put Väinämöinen to sleep. Tuone's son pulled a net across the Tuonela river so that Väinämöinen couldn't get out. Väinämöinen turned himself into an iron worm and swam through the eyes of the net out of Tuonela.

Steady old Väinämöinen
word crocheted, like your name:
"Water got my Mana,
that wave is Tuonela."

Short Tuonen's girl,
low lady of Manala,
word crocheted, like your name:
“I understand the liar!

If water could be given to Mana,
the wave would bring Tuonelahan,
the water would run off the clothes,
your skirt would flutter.

Tell the exact truths:
What happened to your Mana?"

Yes Tuonetar trumpet,
Miss Mana argued:
"Oh yes, fool, your madness,
the man is, your lack of mind!
You will be blamed Tuonelaha,
tautita to Mana's huts!

The shepherd who came across knew that Antero Vipunen knows the words. Vipunen was an enormously tall man who had slept in the forest for so long that trees grew on his face.

The Shepherd has just come;
he puts the sentence into words:
"You can say a hundred from there,
a thousand stream studies
from Antero Vipusen,
from the stomach to spare.

Väinämöinen felled trees from Vipusen's face. Vipunen woke up and swallowed Väinämöinen, but he set up shop in Vipunen's stomach. The lever started teasing hot balls rising into the mouth. Then he let Väinämöinen out and gave enough words to complete the boat.

That's a refreshing Vipunen
I put the sentence into words myself:
"I've already eaten something,
ate the ewe, ate the goat,
ate cow stomach,
ate a roaring pig:
I haven't eaten much yet
not the taste of this piece!"

Old Väinämöinen himself,
he puts the sentence into words:
"I think my destruction is coming,
emergency day confusing
in the huddle of this Hiie,
in this Kalma's pen."

Then the refreshing Vipunen,
that old reservist,
opened the verbal coffin,
spread the chanter's cap.

Steady old Väinämöinen
I put the sentence into words myself:
"Already I got sa'a's words,
thousands of theses,
I got the words out of the secret,
publish credit notes from notch."

So he went to his cousin,
for the factories on the road.
Got the boat ready,
wide union annexed,
the heirlooms have been decided,
raised firewood:
veno was born without carving,
ship without taking a chip.
